Four members of the University track team obtained places in the Columbia indoor track games held in the Twenty-Second Regiment armory in New York Saturday evening. W. A. Schick '05 secured first place in both the 70 yards dash and 70 yards handicap dash in the fast time of 7 1-5 seconds, thereby establishing a new record for that event. In the 70 yards dash M. T. Lightner '03 obtained third place. The putting of the sixteen pound shot was won by C. Robinson '04 with a put of 43 feet. Robinson had a handicap of 18 inches. J. Burke '04, who had a handicap of 3 feet, also won a place in this event by putting the shot 40 feet 1-2 inch. None of these men competed as officially representing the University track team, but on their individual responsibility.
