Fifteen crews were on the river yesterday -- eight from the Newell and seven from the Weld. J. Lawrence '01 coached the Newell Seniors from a single. E. A. Boardman '99 coached the Weld Juniors from the "John Harvard," and H. Bullard '02 coached the Newell first Sophomores from the coxswain's seat. The Freshman crews were coached as usual by Vail and Wray from singles.
The "Veritas" is ready for use, but will not be able to go out for two or three days because the engineer is ill. The date for the interclass races is not yet decided.
