Mr. Grower Flint '88 will speak at the Union at 7.15 tonight on "The Philippines." Mr. Flint was in Cuba during the Cuban revolution and wrote a book on his experiences while there, entitled, "With Gomez in Cuba." When the trouble with the United States broke out Mr. Flint received a lieutenancy in the volunteer army. Later he served two years in the Philippines. Mr. Flint in his talk this evening will make a resume of the causes of the war against the Philippines and will discuss the methods of the campaign as compared with British campaigns in similar countries. Mr. Flint is at present writing the biography of the late John Fiske, the historian.
