The candidates for the University and Freshman baseball teams are now practicing daily in four squads. Battery candidates for both teams make up the first, and are at present being given very light work in straight balls. The University and second squads, under the supervision of Keeler and Chesbro of the Brooklyn National team, are practicing base sliding and handling grounders. The Freshman squad is given work of a similar nature under N. Bartlett '03.
