The Senior hockey team defeated the Juniors Saturday by the score of 4 to 1, in the first game of the preliminary series for the interclass championship. The Seniors were more aggressive and gave their opponents little opportunity to score. Neither team displayed much team work and nearly all the goals were due to individual excellence. Chaffee, Noyes and Ward were most conspicuous in the play.

The line-up:

Goals: 1902--Chaffee 3, Noyes 1; 1903--Foster 1.

The second game in the interclass series will be played between the Sophomores and Freshmen on Holmes Field this afternoon at 3.30. Several members of the University squad will probably play on the Sophomore team.
