Baseball Candidates Meet.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Last night 95 men handed in their names as candidates for the University baseball team, and 72 for the Freshman team.

B. Wendell, Jr., '02, gave the men a short talk and emphasized the importance of the Leiter cup teams. He said that as the capacity of the cage is limited it will be necessary to drop a large number from the squad early in the season. Such men will have a good opportunity of proving their ability by doing well on a Leiter nine. Clarkson spoke of the necessity of candidates keeping off probation.
