At the special meeting of the Board of overseers held yesterday morning. Professor C. E. Norton '46, presided in the absence of the Hon. J. D. Long '57, the president. It was voted to concur with the Corporation in the following appointment: William Sturges Bigelow '71, Arthur Tracy Cabot '72, John Templeman Coolidge, Jr., '79, as trustees of the Museum of Fine Arts, for one year from January 1, 1904;
Merritt Lyndon Fernald '97, as instructor in botany and assistant at the Gray Herbarium from September 1, 1903;
Charles Henry White '97, as a member of the administrative board of the Lawrence Scientific School for 1903-1904;
Arthur Asahel Shurtleff '96, as instructor in landscape architecture from September 1, 1903;
Irvah Lester Winter '86, as assistant professor of elocution for five years from September 1, 1903.
