The Freshmen defeated the Sophomores in the second game of the interclass basketball series last night, by a score of 12 to 10. The Freshmen were superior in throwing short baskets, and to this and the inaccurate passing of the Sophomores, their victory was due.
The line-up was: Goals--Smith 4, McDonald 2, Gallagher 2, Ware, Montgomery. Goals from from free tries--Ware 2. Free tries missed-- Smith 4, McDonald 3, Ware 2, Griffiths. Fouls--Saul 3, Gallagher, Griffiths 2, Ware, Soul 3, Smith, Reed. Referee-- W. l. Hanavan '03. Umpire-- C. W. Randall '05. Timekeeper--W. O. Dapping '05. Time--15-minute halves. The final game for the class championship will be played between the Juniors and the Freshmen, in the Gymnasium, tomorrow evening.
