FIRST HOCKEY GAME TODAY.

At 2.30 on Holmes Field.--Intercollegiate Schedule.

The University hockey team will play its first practice game of the season with the Boston Hockey Club, on the University rink on Holmes Field, at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon. Last year the University team twice defeated the Hockey Club by scores of 4-2 and 5-1.

J. S. Lovering '03, captain of last year's team, R. Winsor '02, captain of the 1902 team, D. P. Penhallow '03, captain of the 1903 lacrosse team, and F. J. Goodridge '98, will play on the Boston team.

The teams will line-up as follows: HARVARD.  BOSTON HOCKEY CLUB. Souther, f.  f., Lovering Newhall, f.  f., Winsor Kernan, Wilder f.  f., Foster MacLeod, f.  f., F. J. Goodridge Clotheir, c.p.  c.p., Penhallow Carr, p.  p., A. M. Goodridge Ivy, g.  g., Manning

The schedule for the intercollegiate hockey series is as follows:

Jan. 9.--Brown vs. Princeton.

Jan. 16.--Yale vs. Columbia.

Jan. 23.--Harvard vs. Princeton.

Jan. 27.--Yale vs. Brown.

Jan. 30.--Harvard vs. Columbia.

Feb. 6.--Brown vs. Columbia.

Feb. 17.--Yale vs. Princeton.

Feb. 20.--Harvard vs. Yale.

All the games will be plaed at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York City. The final game, between the teams winning the first two places, will probably be played on February 27.
