Under the auspices of the Engineering Society, Professor L. J. Johnson will speak this evening, at 8 o'clock, in the Lecture Room of Pierce Hall, on "The Construction of the Harvard Stadium." He will describe the nature and the characteristics of the materials used in the building of the Stadium and will explain the principles of steel-concrete construction. Professor Johnson gave a more technical description of this subject before the Boston Society of Civil Engineers last Tuesday.
The lecture will be illustrated with stereopticon views showing the Stadium in different stages of construction. It will be open to the public.
