The Musical Clubs.

Since college opened the University Musical Clubs have been receiving regular coaching for the Harvard-Yale joint concert, to be given this evening in Symphony Hall, Boston, and have now reached their final form.

The material for the Glee Club this year has been good and very abundant. In addition to old men, twenty-five candidates were retained at the first trials, and these have gradually been cut down so that the club at present numbers thirty-one. On the whole, the club is considered the best in years. The coaching, as formerly, has been done by G. L. Osgood '91.

Both the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs have shown consistent development, and with the exception of a slight tendency to get out of time, play in excellent form. They have been coached by Mr. G. L. Lansing of Boston.
