PARADE TO STADIUM TODAY.

At 3.10 o'clock this afternoon, there will be a parade, by classes, for all members of the University from the Union to Soldiers Field to attend the open practice of the University eleven in the Stadium. Kanrich's band of twenty pieces will lead the parade and furnish music during the rehearsal of football songs. J. H. Densmore '04 will lead the singing, and W. Clarkson '04, the cheering. Seats will be provided on the west stand--the side toward the old field. The entire practice will be open.

Yesterday's practice was fair only, and in a 30 minute line-up, the first team scored three times on touchdowns and the second once on a drop kick. As the regular first team men were not allowed to stay long in the scrimmage, a large number of substitutes were put into the line-up. The second put up a very strong game, played with excellent spirit and showed good team work.

Bowditch was out again, but merely ran around the field. Clothier went through the signals, but did not enter the scrimmage. Hurley is still confined with tonsilitis, but should be out in a day or two.

All three of the University eleven's touchdowns were made by rushing the ball from near the centre of the field. There were several exchanges of punts, after the kick-offs, in which a slight advantage rested with the first eleven. One of the second's kicks was blocked. Against the straight rushing tactics of the University eleven, the second presented a strong defense, Bleakie being especially effective at centre. The second once rushed the ball a total distance of 40 yards to the University eleven's 20-yard line, and Leonard kicked a very pretty goal from the field, standing on the 29-yard line. The longest run of the afternoon was one of 50 yards by Randall to the second's 25-yard line.
