Sir Frederick Pollock is one of the most distinguished jurists and legal authors of England. He has just resigned his professorship of Jurisprudence at Oxford, after an incumbency of twenty years. The best known of his writings are his treatises on Contracts and Torts, and his "History of English Law," the latter written jointly with Professor Maitland. The lectures will be open to the public, but seats on the floor will be reserved for students in the Law School.
