The Hyde lectures under the auspices of the Cercle Francais will be given this year by M. Anatole Leroy Beaulieu, a well-known French author and member of the Institute of France. His general subject will be: "Christianisme et Democratie: Questions Religeuses en France au XIX Siecle." The lectures, in French, will be given in Sanders Theatre on the following dates: March 3, 5, 8, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22. The series will be open to the public, but reserved seats, without charge, may be applied for. Announcements concerning these applications will be made later.

M. Andre Michel, conservator of the Louvre Museum in Paris, will also give one or two lectures under the auspices of the Cercle Francais sometime in December, but the exact date and the subject of his lectures have not yet been made public. M. Michel will tour the country as official lecturer of the Alliance Francaise and will give a series of lectures in Boston.
