FIRST POLLOCK LECTURE

"The Foundation of Justice" This Afternoon in New Lecture Hall at 3 o'clock.

Sir Frederick Pollock, L.L.D., D.C.L., carpus professor of jurisprudence at Oxford University, will deliver the first of his series of five lectures on the general subject "The Expansion of the Common Law," at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the New Lecture Hall. His subject this afternoon will be "The Foundation of Justice." The lecture will be open to the public, but seats on the floor will be reserved until 2.55 o'clock for Law School students who hold tickets.

Professor Pollock is one of the most noted English jurists and legal authorities, and recently delivered in the Yale Law School the Storrs lectures, most of which he will repeat here. Tomorrow at the same time and place he will lecture on "The Scales of Justice;" Thursday, "The Sword of Justice," Friday. "The Law of Reason--(a) The Law of Nature and of Nations;" Saturday at 12 o'clock, "The Law of Reason--(b) Natural Justice in the Common Law."
