An important acquisition has been made recently by the Peabody Museum of a collection of Mexican antiques, which have been taken from excavations at Zumpango and Tecomaxochill. The collection consists of Crania, pottery, stone implements, soap stone vessels and small human effigies, one of which is a remarkably fine specimen. There are also beads of gadeite and shell, stone pendants and car ornaments, and rude figures of stone, fashioned from discarded axes.
The large collection of Pacific Island material, which has been amassed, has been arranged in one of the rooms of the Warren Gallery on the fourth floor.
