1907 FOOTBALL CANDIDATES.

After the informal gathering of the Freshman class in the Living Room of the Union last night, the meeting of candidates for the Freshman eleven was held in the Assembly Room. One hundred and four men handed in their names. Captain Marshall, head coach Cranston, and McMaster addressed the candidates in regard to training and the maintenance of satisfactory academic standing. H. S. Vanderbilt was appointed manager of the 1907 team.

Preliminary practice will begin this afternoon. The size of the squad is below the usual standard, the number of candidates being forty smaller than last year. The material, however, is fairly heavy and there are eighteen men weighing 175 pounds or more.
