The extension of the option on the property to be used for the new golf course in Waltham expired on June 1, and the committee in charge of the fund has reported a deficiency of 82010 out of the $10,250 which, with the $5,000 which the Athletic Committee will loan, is needed to purchase the land. Only $390 has been collected during the last two weeks, but the committee is endeavoring to arrange for a short time more in which to make a final effort to cover the necessary sum. In case this fails the whole matter will be dropped.
