Yesterday afternoon the Freshman crew squad was graded into two eights as follows:
First crew--Stroke, Tew; 7, Lawson; 6, Leaycraft; 5, Mills; 4, W. S. Hall; 3, Locke; 2, Ober; bow, Swaim; cox., Chase.
Second crew--Stroke. Richmond; 7, Eayrs; 6, Lamson; 5, Abbott; 4, Webster; 3, Joy; 2, Heard, S. B. Hall; bow, Moot; cox., Green.
Since the squad was chosen Mr. Bancroft, the coach, has given particular attention to getting the oars in at the catch and to getting the men accustomed to a uniform style of rowing. In the course of a few days the squad will be cut down and only two crews will be retained. The training table will be started next week.
