The University nine will play Cornell this afternoon on Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock.

Cornell has a good hitting team and has shown improvement of late, easily defeating Pennsylvania last Saturday by a score of 11 to 3. Cornell has lost one game to Pennsylvania by a score of 4 to 2, and two games to Princeton by the scores of 5 to 1, and 18 to 6 respectively. Last year Harvard defeated Cornell 11 to 0.

Of last year's Cornell team, Brewster will play in left field, Whinery will catch, Drake will play at right field and Costello at third base. Chase will pitch.

Several changes have been made in the positions and the batting order of the University nine. Skilton will return to second base and Matthews will play in right field. Stillman will pitch.

The batting orders will be as follows: HARVARD.  CORNELL. Wendell, l.f.  l.f., Brewster. Coolidge, s.s.  2b., Brown. Randall, 1b.  s.s., Lewis. Skilton, 2b.  c., Whinery. Stillman, p.  c.f., Bristol. Clarkson, c.f.  1b., Ferguson. Matthews, r.f.  r.f., Drake. Carr, 3b.  3b., Costello. Kernan, c.  p., Chase.
