Freshmen, 6; Groton, 2.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman nine defeated Groton last Saturday by the score of 6 to 2. The Groton team was weak, particularly at the bat. The base running of the Freshmen was very poor, and the fact that they did not make a larger score was largely due to their inefficiency in this respect and to their inability to bunch their hits.

Tuckerman pitched a good game, striking out eight men. Leary, a new man, showed up well at the bat with two good hits to his credit.

The score:   1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  r.  h.  e. Freshmen,  0  1  1  0  4  0  0  0  x  6  11  6 Groton,  0  0  1  0  0  0  0  1  0  2  6  2
