8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The graded crews at both boat clubs have been considerably shaken up since their formation. Now, however, the first and second crews, at least, are in fairly stable condition, but repeated absences make it hard to maintain fixed orders in the third and especially in the fourth crews. The first crews at both clubs are well together and show considerable life and precision, considering the short time that they have been formed, and their almost entire lack of coaching.
The orders of the first three crews at each club are as follows:
First Weld -- Stroke, Dillingham; 7, Wolcott; 6, Richardson; 5, Bent; 4, Greenough; 3, Lindley; 2, Minturn; bow, George.
Second Weld -- Stroke, Roberts; 7, Maltby; 6, Brooks; 5, Bleakie; 4, May; 3, Sherburne; 2, Hatch; bow, Ells.
Third Weld -- Stroke, Macomber; 7, Parmelee; 6, Locke; 5, Blaikie; 4, Dyer; 3, Burgess; 2, Barnes; bow, de Rham.
First Newell -- Stroke, Brownell; 7, Swaim; 6, Henderson; 5, Haycock; 4, Foster; 3, Meier; 2, Stone; bow, Low.
Second Newell--Stroke, Boardman; 7, Conger; 6, Scott; 5, Clark; 4, Stevens; 3, Atwater; 2, Davie; bow, Wolcott.
Third Newell -- Stroke, Bryant; 7, James; 6, Sweetser; 5, Rainsford; 4, Bard; 3, Olney; 2, Durfee; bow, Hull.
