Professor Bocher Resigns.

The resignation of Professor Ferdinand Bocher was accepted at the last meeting of the Corporation and will take effect at the end of the term.

Professor Bocher was first connected with the University as instructor in French from 1861 to 1865. He then became Professor of Modern Languages at the Institute of Technology. Five years later, in 1870, he was appointed Professor of Modern Languages at Harvard, a position which he has held up to the present time. In 1872 he received the honorary degree of A.M.
