Second Nine vs. Adams Academy

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This afternoon at 3 o'clock the Second nine will play Adams Academy on Soldiers Field. The Second nine squad has been cut down to about twenty men. As they have only played two games and practised together three or four times it is too early to give an individual criticism of the players. The squad as a whole is working hard and shows promise of a good nine. The batting is fair, but the fielding is still a little ragged. The batting orders follow: SECOND NINE.  ADAMS ACADEMY. Parker, c.  c., Eleock. Alexander, p.  p., Doble. Clark, 1b.  1b., Flaherty. Lovering, 2b.  2b., Babcock. Dever, 3b.  3b., Weston. Bennett, s.s.  s.s., Moyle. Bowditch, l.f.  l.f., Thomas. Piper, c.f.  c.f., Bennett. Rockwell, r.f.  r.f., Hoxie.
