The committee on the funds for the construction of Emerson Hall, the proposed philosophy building, has announced gifts amounting to $56,250. In case this fund increases rapidly and the plans progress favorably it has been suggested that the building be placed on the east side of Sever Hall, opposite Robinson Hall.
The donations are as follows:
Mrs. W. H. Forbes, $10,000.
Mrs. Henry Lee, $10,000.
Joseph Lee '83, $10,000.
Miss F. P. Mason, $10,000.
Anonymous, $11,000.
Arthur T. Lyman '53, $5,000.
J. J. Storrow '85, $250.
