At the hearing of the Charles River Dam Commission yesterday, it was decided to put an end to the present system of oral hearings. There will be one more session on Thursday at 10 o'clock in the rooms of the Metropolitan Park Commission, 14 Beacon street. The Committee will then receive written statements, reports and data from the engineers retained by the parties interested; the counsel will put in briefs concerning the various points of discussion; and conferences will be held, for a time not to exceed four days, between the committee and the opponents of the plan. This system, it is hoped, will greatly lessen the time required to come to a decision.
