Dr. Horace H. Furness of Philadelphia, will read from Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" in Sanders Theatre at 8 o'clock tonight. Seats will be reserved for members of the University till 7.50 o'clock.

Dr. Furness is probably the greatest American Shakespearian scholar and ranks among the greatest in the world today. After graduating from Harvard in 1854, he spent two years studying abroad and then returned to Philadelphia. His "Variorum Edition of Shakespeare" is accepted by students of all nationalities as the standard work of its kind and has received warm appreciation from the leading literary critics of England and America.

Dr. Furness holds the following degrees: A.M. 1858, Honorary 1877; Ph.D. (Hon.) Halle 1878; LL.D. 1894 from University of Pennsylvania; L.H.D. Columbia 1887; Litt.D. (Hon.) Cambridge, 1899.
