The Membership and House Committees of the Union are making a canvass among the members of the University who are not members of the Union, to ascertain why they have not joined. The purpose of this canvass is not to increase the membership of the Union, but to obtain ideas which may lead to its improvement. About the middle of March a catalogue will be issued giving the names of all the members of the Union. Up to February 1, 1450 undergraduates had joined as active members; the total membership was as follows:
