Pi Eta Theatricals.

The Pi Eta Society will present for its theatricals this spring, a two-act comic opera, "Queen Philippine." The book is by R. E. Edwards '02 and P. L. Coonley '03, the music by A. W. Denison '03.

The events of the play are supposed to occur on one of the islands of the Philippine group and hinge upon the abdication of the King. The King cannot decide whom he would best appoint as his successor. This uncertainty leads to a great deal of clever plotting on the part of the three aspirants for the throne, and to many amusing complications. The customary love story runs through the play, ending happily in the coronation of the hero and his betrothal to the heroine.

Rehearsals for the opera begin February 18. the dress rehearsal will take place during the second week in April and there will probably be six public performances.
