The University hockey team played practice games yesterday with the Seniors and Freshmen, made in all about 25 goals, and prevented its opponents from scoring. The improvement in speed, stick work and shooting was very noticeable, and there was not so much nervousness and inaccuracy as was shown in the Brown game. The defensive players showed good judgment, and were much more reliable than hitherto. Rumsey, Winsor and Pruyn played brilliantly together and individually, and shot goals accurately throughout.
