Freshman Rowing Started.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman crew squad began its winter work at the University Boat House yesterday afternoon. The eighty-two candidates who reported were given a short practice on the machines in squads of about twenty men, and were coached by Vail and Wray. The entire squad will row again tomorrow afternoon, and the first crew will then be made. Work for the present will consist entirely of machine work as the rowing tank in the boat house has not yet been prepared for use.
