The winter rowing for the University crew squad will begin today. The men who rowed on the squad which was watched by Mr. Courtney as well as a number of others will report at the University Boat House at 4 o'clock. The work for the present will consist entirely of practice on the machines and in the tank and the squad will be coached by Wray and Vail.

Rowing for the Freshman squad will begin tomorrow. Candidates for the crew were called out last night, when D. L. McGrew '03 outlined the preliminary work which will consist of practice on the machines and in the tank. The following is the list of the ninety-eight men who handed in their names:
