Final Princeton Debate Trials

The final trials of candidates for the team to represent the University in the debate with Princeton on December 12 will be held in the Fogg Lecture Room at 7.30 o'clock this evening. The trials will be in the form of a regular debate on the question submitted by Princeton: "Resolved; That whenever in the event of continued domestic violence, lives and property are not adequately protected, it is for the public good that the President should have the power to afford protection without the application of the State for federal aid." The six men retained on Monday have been divided into two teams as follows: affirmative--J. Daniels '04, J. F. Dore, Jr., '05, G. P. Adams '03; negative -- A. A. Ballantine '04, E. M. Rabenold '04, W. Catchings 2L.

Each speaker will be allowed twelve minutes, with five minutes for rebuttal. The three best speakers will be chosen as the University team, and the man who has made the best showing in all three trials will be awarded the Coolidge prize of one hundred dollars.

The judges for the trials tonight will be as follows: Mr. I. L. Winter, A. P. Stone '93, S. R. Wrightington '97, and H. A. Yeomans 2L. M. Seasongood 3L. will preside.
