The Whist Club.

The Whist Club will hold its annual tournament about the first of December, the exact date depending upon the number of entries received up to that time. The tournament will be open to all members of the University and blue-books for entries will be placed at Leavitt's today. The entry fee for each couple will be $1.00.

Those entering will be divided into sections and the winners of each section will go up to the semi-final round. Cups will be awarded to the winning pair, and the final make-up of the team to play Yale will depend to a great extent upon the individual showing made in this tournament.

The Whist Club has a larger membership than usual this year. In addition to the regular weekly meetings, several practice matches have been played with whist clubs from Boston and surrounding towns. The prospect of a strong team this year is good, for in addition to the large number of new members, four men on last year's team are now in College. These men are: A. C. England 4M., captain, C. W. Barry '03, J. M. DeWolfe '04, and V. K. Keesey '03.
