The trials to select the team which will represent the University in the intercollegiate cross country meet at New York on November 26 took place yesterday afternoon over the new course on Soldiers Field. The team will consist of the six men who finished in the following order: W. A. Colwell 2G., W. A. Colwell 2G., W. G. Clerk '05, J. H. Hall '03, A. King '03, J. H. Stone '04, R. M. Walsh 2L. The candidates ran over eight laps of the course, which is 1370 yards long, thus covering six and a quarter miles, the same distance as the course at New York.
The colleges which will be represented in the intercollegiate meet are: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania, Columbia and Williams.
