The orders of the Weld and Newell crews yesterday were practically the same as on Tuesday. Mr. Courtney watched the first Weld Freshmen and the second Weld graded, and seemed, on the whole, pleased with their work. Mr. G. W. Wed '60 was also on board the launch.
The crews rowed over the mile and seven-eighths course, and were coached by Wray and D. D. L. McGrew '03. The Freshmen rowed well, considering the fact that this was their first row over the regular course, but the second graded was slow at the catch and finish and rather irregular in regard to time.
Today Mr. Courtney will follow the Newell crews in the launch, but he will not begin to coach for several days. Tomorrow he will probably watch all the Weld crews, both graded and Freshman, which are to row over the mile and seven-eights course.
