Lacrosse Team Plans.

The fall lacrosse work has been progressing very satisfactorily although no steps have been taken toward the formation of a team. Quite a number of men have come out, but so far the practice has been very light. Later in the season a game will be played with a picked team of graduates.

During the winter there will be light practice in the cage, consisting chiefly of stick work. As soon as the weather permits, the class teams will be formed and it is expected that the interclass series will be played off before the Easter vacation.

For some years past it has been customary for the team to take a Southern trip during the vacation, playing Stevens Institute of Hoboken, Crescent Athletic Club of Brooklyn, Swarthmore College, and Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore. It has been found advisable to discontinue the trip this year, as it comes at a time when the team must necessarily have had very little practice together, and is of little or no benefit to the men. Instead of the Southern trip, the squad will probably remain in Cambridge during the vacation and special attention will be given to each man and also to the development of team play. The schedule has not been definitely decided upon as yet, but the first game will probably be played with the Crescent Athletic Club about a week after College opens for the spring term.

The Athletic Committee has set aside a portion of Soldiers Field for the use of the team, but, as it is not yet in a condition to be played on, Holmes Field will be used until the new ground has been made ready.
