The first concert of the musical clubs this year has been arranged for November 8 at the Boston Art Club. The prospect for successful clubs is good, as a large number of men who were members last year have returned to the University. There are, however, a number of places to be filled and trials are being held to fill vacancies.
The Banjo Club held a trial last night and another will be held tonight at 7 in Fairfax 34. The Mandolin Club will hold a trial for candidates next Monday evening in the Committee Room of the Union. Violin and cello players are needed. As yet no definite dates have been arranged for the Glee Club trials.
