WEST POINT GAME TODAY.

The game with the United States Military Academy, to be played at West Point this afternoon, will give the first thorough test of the University eleven's strength. All the games played hitherto have been with much lighter opponents, who had comparatively little power of attack or ability in defense; but today the eleven will meet a team of weight almost equal to its own, composed of men of strong physique and considerable football experience. The West Point team, with the exception of three men, is the same as the one which last year kept Harvard from scoring until the last minute of play, when Kernan made a 50 yard run around the end for a touchdown. Daly, captain of the 1900 Harvard eleven, will probably not be in the line-up at the beginning of the game, but may go in later. The Harvard eleven will be weakened by the absence of Graydon and Knowlton. Otherwise the team is in good condition and, after the improvement of the past few days, should play a strong game.

The score of the game after the first half and after the second half will be telegraphed to the CRIMSON from the field and will be bulletined in the Union.

Yesterday afternoon the first and second elevens went through light signal practice before leaving to take the Fall River boat for New York. This morning the squad will go to West Point from New York in a special sleeper, which will be held at West Point during the day and will bring back the squad by way of Albany tonight, reaching Boston tomorrow morning.
