The prompt start of the rowing season which was made this year will enable the fall, regatta to be held about a week earlier than usual. The races will be of a very different character from heretofore. The distance for both the graded and Freshman crews will be one mile instead of a mile and seven-eighths, and a number of heats will be rowed, so that each graded crew may be tested against every other. The game arrangement will be made for the Freshman crews. A system of scoring by points will be arranged and the members of the graded crew winning the most points will receive cups.
The number of heats which will have to be rowed uccessitates spreading the races over several days. The regatta will probably be held during the week beginning November 9.
