The University and Freshman basketball squads have been chosen and will start practicing in the Gymnasium on Monday evening January 6. J. K. Clark 3L., captain of last year's team, will have entire charge of the coaching during the winter. The following men have been retained for the University squad:
Forwards--J. Browne '03, E. H. Humphreys '03, H. H. Bennett '04, J. W. Gilles '02, K. K. Smith '04, W. E. Mulliken '02, W. Ritter 1Dn.; Guards--L. L. Bigelow '03, C. Fosdick '04; T. F. Story '03, J. E. O'Connell '02, W. L. Hanavan '03, K. Smith '05; centres--G. P. Fenwick 2M., M. C. Fisher '04, J. C. Linehan '03, L. P. Pieper '03.
The Freshman squad will be composed of C. M. Dall, W. O. Dapping, R. A. Dowling, R. B. Gring, R. M. Hall, E. D. Hayes, J. F. Henderson, P. D. Howard, F. W. Lehmann, J. R. Lewis, C. W. Randall, J. A. Powelson, L. F. Swift and T. H. Smith.
