The place recently made vacant by the resignation of Mr. W. F. Willoughby, has been filled by the appointment of E. Dana Durand, Ph.D. Dr. Durand was formerly Legislative Librarian of the New York State Library, but left that position to accept a position on the Stanford University faculty. Upon the organization of the United States Industrial Commission he was made secretary to that body, a position which he has since held. He is the author of a work on the finances of New York City. He will give Economics 9 and 9a during the second half year.
