The new green-house at the Bussey Institution was completely stocked with plants during the fall. This building has been largely employed since its completion as a laboratory for the study of grafting and practical horticulture.
Another new feature at the Institution is a room fitted up for mechanical drawing and surveying. A room of this sort has been especially needed this year owing to the new courses in Mathematics and Surveying, conducted by Professor I. N. Hollis and Mr. H. H. Fox.
A new library is at present badly needed for the Institution, the present one being too small for the 4,200 books belonging to it.
