FRESHMAN CREW CANDIDATES.

Forty-four New Men Out.--Training Begins Today.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Forty-four new men handed in their names last night as candidates for the Freshman crew. This number, together with the eighty-six who took part in the fall rowing, brings the total of Freshmen candidates up to one hundred and thirty, a slightly larger number than that which came out last year. The proportion of experienced oaremen, however, is probably smaller.

All candidates, including those who rowed during the fall, must obtain lockers and report dressed to row at the University boat house at 3.30: Newell men to E. E. Smith, Weld men to R. S. Francis. All candidates who were unable to be present at the meeting last night should report at the boat house at 3 o'clock. Every man must join the club to which he has been allotted.
