Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The football squad was increased yesterday by the return of Bowditch, Sargent and L. Motley, of last year's squad. About sixty-five men are now out.
In the morning the practice was light, and consisted principally in falling on the ball, kicking, and running back punts for the backs, starting and running down under kicks for the ends, and starting and lunging for the linemen.
The dummy was rigged for the first time yesterday, and was ready for the afternoon practice. Several mechanical improvements have been made to the dummy, which, when in good working order, will add to its effectiveness.
The afternoon work was the heaviest so far. After some fifteen minutes preliminary work in falling on the ball, the men were divided into squads of ends, backs and linemen. The backs and ends were sent to the dummy in squads, where they were coached by Captain Campbell. Special attention will be given this year to developing hard and sure tackling, and poor tacklers will be dropped early. While not at the dummy the backs and ends were practicing kicking and running back punts, and getting down under kicks. Bowditch had charge of the ends in this work, and Coach Reid of the backs. Special attention was given to the punting.
W. H. Lewis L. S. '95 was out in football clothes, and had charge of the linemen. He was assisted in coaching by B. G. Waters '94. The men were divided into two sides and lined up against each other and given hard practice in blocking and breaking through.
The candidates for quarterback were coached for a short time by Waters, attention being given to form in receiving and passing the ball.
