The preliminary heats for the Interscholastic Rowing Association championship were rowed on Saturday. There were two heats of four crews each and one heat of three crews. The three second crews will race today and the winner will row with the winners of Saturday for the championship next Wednesday.
First heat--Won. by Noble's; second, Volkmann's; third, Mechanic Arts High; fourth, Boston Latin.
Second heat--Won by Waltham High; second, Browne and Nichols; third, English High; fourth, Cambridge Latin.
Third heat--Won by Hopkinson; second, Stone's; third, Roxbury Latin.
