The Commencement Speakers.

Frederick Gilbert Bauer, who will give the Latin salutatory on the subject of "The Cuban Teachers," lives in Jamaica Plain. He prepared for Harvard at the Boston Latin School, graduating with the Class of '97. Since entering College he has received a Detur and Highest Second Year Honors in Classics. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Roger Sawyer Forbes, of Brooklyn, prepared for College at Bristol Academy and at Andover, where he graduated in 1896. While at Andover he won the Draper Prize for speaking; and last year he received one of the Boylston Elocution Prizes. His part is entitled "The Pilgrim as He Was."

Murray Seasongood will speak on "Commencement, Past and Present." He prepared at the Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and also at Edgeborough, in Guildford, England. During the past year he has taken an active part in debating. He was alternate on the team that defeated Yale last March. In the Class Day election he was chosen Ivy Orator.

Henry Latimer Seaver, of Boston, will take as his Commencement part "Hawthorne and the Romance of the Present." He entered Harvard after graduating from the Boston Latin School with the Class of '96. Last year he was the recipient of a Sargent Prize; and he has also received a Detur and a George R. Sohier Prize. This year he was awarded Highest Final Honors in English. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa.

Frank Wilson Cheney Hersey has his home in Lincoln, where he graduated from the High School in 1894. At College his principle work was in English literature and composition; and last year he was one of the Commencement speakers for the Class of '99. He will represent the Graduate School this year, speaking on "James Howell, a Journalist before the time of Journalism."
