The Crews.

The University crew rowed in the same order yesterday as on Wednesday. They used the new shell for the second time and it proved very satisfactory. It was built by Davy on very much the same lines as last year's shell, having the same fine bow and wide shallow stern. The keel is a half-inch deeper and consequently the boat is even stiffer than last year's shell of the same model.

The four-oar was temporarily chosen yesterday and rowed as follows: Stroke, Brownell; 3, Henderson, Francis; 2, G. Bancroft, McConnell; bow, James.

Lloyd went out of the Freshman boat yesterday, giving place to Meier, who has lately been taken from the Weld senior crew. The recent experiment of putting Thanisch at stroke has worked well and the crew is rapidly getting together. The order yesterday was as follows:

First crew--Stroke, Thanisch; 7, Lindsay; 6, Clapp; 5, Parmelee; 4, Lindaley; 3, Meier; 2, Minturn; bow, Dillingham.

Second crew--Stroke, Phillips; 7, Welldon; 6, Sanger; 5, Lloyd; 4, Foster; 3, Cruger; 2, Hanford; bow, Chadwick.
