INTERCOLLEGIATE GOLF.

ATLANTIC CITY, May 6.--The intercollegiate golf tournament between Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania and Columbia will begin at Atlantic City tomorrow. Harvard will play the preliminary round with Princeton in the morning. Tomorrow afternoon Yale will play Pennsylvania, and the winning team in the preliminary round will play Columbia. The final match of 36 holes will be played Thursday, and the individual championship matches will be played Friday and Saturday.

A new system of scoring will be used for the team matches. One point will be counted for each individual match won, and one-half a point for each hole up in each of those individual matches.

Captain Henderson has been prevented by illness from entering the tournament and Curtis has been appointed temporary captain.

The Orders of the Teams.

The orders of the teams have been decided as follows:

Harvard--1, Hollins; 2, Brown; 3, Curtis; 4, Richardson; 5, Averill; 6, Lindsley; substitute, Wadsworth.

Yale--1, Byers; 2, Hitchcock; 3, Robertson; 4, Cheney; 5, Myers; 6, Stickney; substitute, Jennings.

Princeton--1, Griswold; 2, Pyne; 3, Cooke; 4, Bonner; 5, Wilson; 6, Poole; substitute, Garretson.

Columbia--1, Bates; 2, Gleimy; 3, Wood; 4, Edwards; 5, Stern, 6, Jackson; substitute, Rhodes.

Pennsylvania--1, Hill; 2, Taylor; 3, Williams; 4, Vaux; 5, Barrows; 6, Castner; substitute, Hinkle.

The Harvard Team.

H. B. Hollins '04, the present interscholastic champion, was winner of the Shinnecock Hills open tournament in 1898 and runner up in the Newport tournament in 1899. He also played on the all-American team against Canada in the same year.

A. M. Brown '03 was runner-up in the University championship last fall and winner of the qualifying round at Shinnecock in 1900.

J. F. Curtis 1L. has played three years on the team, of which he was captain in 1899. He was intercollegiate champion in 1898.

C. T. Richardson '02 played number two on last year's team. In 1898 he was runner-up in the Lakewood tournament, having defeated both Harriman and Travis.

J. G. Averill 2G. played on the team in 1898 and 1899. In '99 he was runner-up in the individual championship. At Myopia a year ago he was defeated by Lockwood in the finals.

H. Lindsley '02 was substitute last year. Last summer he won the Ampersand tournament, defeating Pyne, the present intercollegiate champion.

W. Wadsworth '02 played on the team last year.
