Exeter, 11; Second Nine, 10.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Second Nine was defeated yesterday by Exeter in a five inning game by the score of 11 to 10. The field was so muddy that it was impossible to judge of the relative merits of the teams. Winsor's four bases on balls in the second inning contributed largely to Exeter's score. In the third inning the Second Nine, aided by two bases on balls and some timely hitting, scored six runs. Owing to the rain and the condition of the field, the game was called at the end of the fifth inning. The score by innings: Innings,  1  2  3  4  5  r.  h.  e. Exeter,  1  5  3  2  0  11  5  3 Harvard Second,  0  2  6  2  0  10  5  3
